테이스팅 노트
잔을 천천히 흔들면 33년 토마틴의 짙은 마호가니빛이 잔 안쪽을 휘감으며 흘러내린다. 잔을 코끝으로 가져가자 다크 셰리 캐스크가 길어준 건무화과, 흑설탕 시럽, 오래된 가죽 향이 묵직하게 입을 향한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 51.6도의 알코올이 매끄럽게 입천장을 덮으며 호두와 다크 초콜릿으로 발전한다. 던컨 테일러의 레어 올드가 1976년 빈티지의 깊이를 그대로 옮긴다. 잔을 입가에서 살짝 떼고 다시 가져가면 셰리 캐스크의 단맛이 또렷이 떠오른다. 삼킨 뒤에도 입천장 안쪽에 묵직한 단맛이 길게 따라온다.

With water: same comments. Maybe a little more oak here, maybe… Well, certainly, but quality is similar. I love these whiffs of ‘a beehive that you just opened’ (watch the stings)

once again, it’s just marginally different but this time it’s even fruitier, more candied and maybe a little more citrusy as well. Firm, tight, rich, lively… Again, wow. With water: wowie! Extravagant, sexy, fruity…
