테이스팅 노트
평범한 오크 캐스크가 30년이라는 긴 시간을 거쳐 빚어낸 풍미가 코에 먼저 깊게 인사한다. 1964 빈티지의 롱몬이 스페이사이드 특유의 잘 익은 과일과 꿀의 단맛을 흩트림 없이 보존한다. 43도 ABV가 우아한 균형으로 흐른다. 코에는 살구 잼, 카라멜, 옅은 견과가 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입안에서는 토피와 사과 콤포트, 따뜻한 우드의 결이 차례로 발전한다. 짙은 호박빛 액체의 끝자락에 단맛이 길게 머문다.

what’s comparatively striking with this one is its ‘resinousness’, with whiffs of fresh putty, lamp oil, ink and waxed paper that suggest OBE arising. Also hints of lemon and grapefruit peel, a little metal polish, some camphor, maybe a little antiseptic ala old Islay and notes of wet cloth (no dogs). A little ham after a few minutes as well as smoked salmon and touches of butter. Not exactly ‘old Longmorn’ in style because of these resinous and mineral notes but still beautiful

same feeling on the palate, with also something slightly rancid (butter?) but not repulsive at all, quite the opposite. I find the mouth feel surprisingly big and thanks to this waxiness, I could have mistaken it for an old Clynelish but this is more resinous, mineral and ‘inky’. Develops on lemon marmalade, marzipan, almond oil, lemon balm and a few wee spices such as cumin and cinnamon (just a little). As far as fruits are concerned, there are tangerines and lemons plus maybe hints of fresh hazelnuts. Too bad it tends to loose steam and drop after the rather big attack
