잔을 흔들면 옅은 금빛이 잔 벽을 타고 빠르게 흐른다. 코끝에 가져가면 리필 호그스헤드에서 온 보리와 사과, 가벼운 향신료의 향이 산뜻하게 올라온다. 2008년 증류해 13년을 보낸 벤리네스를 한 모금 머금으면 53.3도의 힘이 시트러스와 맥아 단맛, 옅은 오크를 또렷이 펼친다. 삼킨 뒤에는 풀잎과 후추가 깔끔하게 이어진다.

With water: must be the oak, because we’re still in Kentucky, in a way. Even Benrinnes, which is a fat spirit, hasn’t a lot to say. Like the notes of walnuts and roasted chestnuts
