스페이사이드 엘긴 외곽의 보리밭 사이에서 벤리악은 셰리와 버번을 오가는 다채로운 원액을 길러낸다. 버번 배럴에서 익은 뒤 PX 셰리 벗에서 마무리한 15년 원액은 짙은 금빛을 띠며 카모마일과 인동꽃, 말린 무화과와 마지팬의 향이 또렷이 드러난다. 46도의 입안은 말린 과일과 후추, 육두구와 진한 홍차가 어우러지고 쌉쌀한 오렌지 잼과 정향의 뉘앙스가 이어진다. 여운은 은은하게 캐러멜라이즈된 단맛과 호두가 길게 남아 셰리 피니시의 우아한 균형을 전한다.

I’m totally certain it’s improved quite a lot. I mean, in my book. This has depth and not many ‘in your face’ winey notes’, while subtle notes of chamomile, honeysuckle, roasted argan oil and dried figs are pleasantly playing together. There’s also a very fine oakiness, with some walnuts and a delicate vanilla. And marzipan, and blond tobacco. Very nice, as they say in whisky forums
