영국에서 가장 높은 산 벤 네비스 기슭 포트 윌리엄에 자리한 동명의 증류소는 묵직하고 거친 하이랜드 원액을 빚는다. 잔에는 진한 호박빛이 흐른다. 10년을 보낸 1996년 원액은 잘 익은 사과와 보리, 옅은 왁스 향을 또렷이 풀어내고, 산악 지대의 서늘함이 향에 단단한 결을 남긴다. 46도의 입안은 곡물 단맛과 흙내음, 가벼운 향신료가 묵직하게 흐른다. 여운에는 보리와 오크의 거친 단맛이 길게 이어진다.
