향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 말린 무화과와 가죽, 묵은 오크 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 1969년 증류된 모틀락의 셰리 우드 숙성답게 깊고 어두운 과일 향이 노즈를 채운다. 45도의 편안한 도수에서 입안은 부드럽고 건포도와 호두, 가죽의 풍미가 또렷하게 이어진다. 모틀락 특유의 고기 같은 무게감이 셰리와 어우러져 중반의 구조를 단단하게 잡는다. 피니시는 쌉쌀한 견과와 가죽, 묵은 오크의 깊은 여운이 길게 발전한다. 옛 모틀락의 진한 셰리 성격을 보여주는 희소한 보틀링이다.

this is bold and all on warm butter and plain oak (fresh sawdust, varnish, lactones). Extremely oaky but with little sweetness and a very discrete sherry – if any. With water: oh, now we have whiffs of rotting fruits, very strong pipe tobacco, even well-hung game (oh well, Glenn)... What’s funny is that it’s so unusual, that it becomes interesting. Calms down after that, more on ‘regular’ tobacco and malt
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
once again, it’s the wood that speaks first, and very boldly. Huge tannins, pencil (like when we were at school), honey and salt-coated almonds, very strong liquorice... Big, big whisky, with a huge concentration of oak, but not of the drying kind at all. A mega Californian chardonnay? Hints of black cherries in the background. With water: a lot of salt, more dryness, hints of chilli, dried herbs (thyme)... It really got ultra-dry now
