테이스팅 노트
하이랜드 동부 클라이넬리쉬가 십칠 년을 셰리 캐스크에서 보낸 매니저스 드램이 잔에 깊은 호박빛으로 머금어진다. 육십일 점 팔 도라는 높은 도수가 본연의 왁시한 캐릭터를 또렷이 드러낸다. 향에서 밀랍과 잘 익은 자두, 마른 무화과가 두꺼운 질감으로 흐른다. 입에서는 강한 알코올이 무화과 잼과 호두 기름, 흑설탕 시럽으로 풀려간다. 클라이넬리쉬 특유의 끈적한 단맛이 끝맛에 깊게 머문다.

phew, this is better it seems. Austere, stony, flinty, very grassy and pretty waxy, with quite some butter and a few of these ‘whacky’ aromas (see above) again but quite curiously, they’re rather an asset at lower doses. More complexity. Goes on with lemon juice, wet newspaper, bread crumb and ham. Well, what’s sure is that Dallas Dhu used to be a rather singular single malt!

starts on big lemony notes again. Orange juice, vitamin C tablets, porridge, nutmeg, salt and grass juice like our friendly neighbours the Germans sometimes drink (I’ve heard it’s meant to be very good for your health)

long, salty and lemony... In short, a big Dallas Dhu, probably not for everyone’s taste. I think it’s very interesting for its, err, ‘extremism’
