잔을 가볍게 흔들면 옅은 금빛이 잔벽을 타고 천천히 흐른다. 잔을 코끝에 가져가면 어란 특유의 바다 짠내가 가장 먼저 인사하고, 곧이어 시트러스와 보리당의 향이 따라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 55도의 알코올이 입을 데우며 1998년 빈티지가 새긴 신선한 사과와 꿀의 단맛이 묵직하게 흐른다. 천천히 삼키면 아일랜즈 특유의 짠 미네랄과 흰꽃의 잔향이 입천장에 길게 남는다.
