아란 1996은 셰리 호그스헤드에서 21년을 보낸 보틀링으로, 노즈에서는 소나무 수지와 전나무 꿀에 레몬 커드와 바질의 산뜻함이 겹쳐 두드러진다. 팰럿은 크리미한 질감 위로 리몬첼로를 닮은 시트러스와 녹색 후추의 알싸함이 또렷하게 발전하며, 52.1도의 도수가 균형을 팽팽하게 잡는다. 셰리 숙성이 과하지 않게 아란 본연의 밝은 과실과 허브를 살려 낸다. 피니시는 길게 빵 반죽과 리몬첼로의 여운이 남는다.
