잔에 잠긴 빛은 짙은 마호가니에 가깝다. 글렌리벳이 1959년에 증류돼 퍼스트필 셰리 호그스헤드에서 50년을 보낸 뒤 고든 앤 맥페일의 프라이빗 컬렉션으로 47.5도에 병입된 보틀이다. 향에는 묵은 가죽, 다크 초콜릿, 마른 무화과가 차례로 떠오르며 반세기를 지난 셰리의 깊은 단맛이 또렷이 깃들어 있다. 입에서는 향신료와 마른 과일이 묵직하게 흐르고 알코올은 부드럽게 잠긴다. 여운에는 가죽과 흙의 잔향이 길게 남는다.
