아일라 남부 해안의 거센 바닷바람이 아드벡의 강렬한 토탄 연기를 처음부터 끝까지 관통한다. 1998년 증류해 12년을 채운 이 위스키는 옅은 밀짚빛을 띤다. 코에는 짙은 훈제 향과 타르, 요오드, 레몬이 날카롭게 솟고, 56.8도의 입에서는 그을린 숯과 후추, 짭조름한 바다 미네랄이 강하게 밀려든다. 매캐한 연기와 소금기가 뜨겁고 길게 여운을 끈다.
