잔을 돌리면 짙은 적갈색이 잔벽에 진한 자국을 남긴다. 코끝에 가져가면 글렌파클라스 패밀리 캐스크다운 졸인 건포도와 호두, 흑설탕의 향이 진하게 올라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 퍼스트필 올로로소가 들인 말린 자두와 다크초콜릿이 혀를 두껍게 채운다. 혀 가운데서는 정향과 가죽의 쌉쌀함이 솟아오른다. 59.4도의 기세를 삼키면 9년이라는 젊음이 무색하게 향신료와 가죽의 여운이 길게 이어진다.

good example of a sherry cask that was most probably quite fresh, since some clear oaky tones are still flying over a combination of dried fruits (figs, raisins) and some sweet meats, Thai-style. Chicken with mango sauce, perhaps. So beyond the obvious pencil shavings here this is a very nice nose. With water: very craft, whatever that means!
