벤 리네스 산기슭의 글렌파클라스는 6대째 가족이 운영하며 진한 셰리 숙성으로 사랑받는 증류소다. 리필 셰리 호그스헤드가 입힌 짙은 호박빛이 잔에 어린다. 1987년 빈티지 19년 숙성에서 건포도와 흑설탕, 구운 견과 향이 깊게 솟는다. 입에서는 말린 과일과 토피, 가죽이 55.1도의 힘으로 묵직하게 입을 채운다. 여운은 길고 따스하며 셰리 단맛과 향신료가 깊게 머문다.

there’s probably as much sherry in this one but it’s much fresher and less chocolaty/coffeeish. More on peaches and melons, then crushed mint leaves, apricot jam, sweet white wine, verbena... Rather more elegant than the 1989, with a better balance and absolutely no sulphur or rubber

I like this so much better than the 1989! Still powerful but much more complex, spicy (nutmeg), fruity, full of youth yet perfectly mature, jammy, fresh (spearmint), elegantly vanilled... And what an excellent finish, long, balanced, fresh, compact, fruity... Much more my type, you got it, but warning, this is very drinkable. 89 points .
