not very different from the 1958 at very first sniffs, but gets then more candied, honeyed (but not immensely so), beautifully fruity (lemons, tangerines) and still very smoky and peaty. Perfect balance. Then fresh almonds, seashells, putty, wet wood and fresh ink (newspaper of the day.) What can I say, it’s just another wonderful old Highland Park, maybe a tad more multidimensional than many others
