테이스팅 노트
은은한 앰버빛이 잔에 따뜻하게 감돈다. 오크니 섬의 하이랜드 파크를 2002년 증류해 리필 호그스헤드에서 14년 키운 이 싱글 캐스크는, 코끝에 아메리칸 오크가 준 바닐라 시럽과 생강, 육두구와 아몬드, 히더 꿀의 향이 밝게 열린다. 59.7도의 힘 있는 한 모금은 정향과 올리브 오일, 허브의 결 위로 꿀과 구운 갈색 빵의 고소함이 흐른다. 섬 특유의 짭조름함이 단맛을 받치고, 여운은 허브와 아니스의 향이 오래 이어진다.

lean, spicy and with a nice rising sweetness. You do indeed notice the American oak with this syrupy vanilla quality that sits just beneath the surface. Lots of ginger, nutmeg, fruit loaf, almonds, honeyed oatmeal, crystalised fruits, golden syrup and heather honey. Playfully sweet and fruity in a way that you don’t often find with HP. Gets breadier with notes of freshly baked brown bread, some salty butter and sweet fruit cordials. With water: notes of strawberry wine, young calvados, red apples, tarragon, herbal toothpaste and mint julep
