테이스팅 노트
노즈를 가까이 하면 하이랜드 파크다운 히스 꿀과 옅은 피트 연기가 먼저 잡히고 잘 익은 과실과 보리 단내가 또렷하게 드러난다. 19년 숙성의 팰럿은 꿀과 마른 과일, 가벼운 향신료가 만나 균형 있게 발전하며 오크니 증류소 특유의 단단한 구조감을 보인다. 55.3도의 도수는 또렷하게 향미를 끌어올리면서도 거칠지 않게 정돈된다. 피니시는 옅은 훈연과 꿀, 우드 스파이스로 길게 이어지며, 1986년 빈티지 하이랜드 파크 싱글 캐스크가 지닌 균형 잡히고 정제된 캐릭터가 분명하게 남는다.

this one is very different although the background is more or less the same. Quite some vanilla, caramel and praline, nougat, ground coffee… And then it gets much fruitier, almost perfumy and rather hot and spirity after a moment. We have then the same ‘mashy’ notes as in the James MacArthur, with also quite some spices (cloves, hints of cardamom) and whiffs of mint. Very ‘natural’ again

oh, now it’s much more interesting. Quite some punch and a bold, sweet and spicy attack. Imagine a blend of caramel and honey with tons of various spices, curry, ginger, cardamom again, pepper… And then we have a fruity cavalry with lots of quince and quite some apple jelly, greengage and a beautiful, long finish on bergamot sweets and spearmint. Wow, too bad the nose was a tad simple, otherwise it would have earned more than 88 points . Highland Park 19 yo 1986/2005 (55.3%, OB for Maxxium Holland, cask #2793, 1120 halves)
