테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 하이랜드 파크 특유의 헤더 꿀과 부드러운 피트, 흙내와 송진 같은 셰리 뉘앙스가 먼저 명확하게 드러난다. 레몬과 짭짤한 해안의 뉘앙스가 균형을 잡는다. 팰럿은 40도에서 쌉쌀한 오렌지와 우드 스파이스, 훈연된 올리브유와 소금물의 층이 발전한다. 오크니 특유의 헤더 꿀과 피트가 조화롭게 맞물린다. 피니시는 길고 미네랄하며 레몬 껍질과 옅은 타르, 약재 같은 피트가 남는 12년이다.

It’s this sort of juice that got early writers like Michael Jackson raving about HP and it’s easy to see why. It really is a wonderful spread of heathery honey, very soft peats, earthiness, some resinous sherry notes and lemony/salty coastal aspect. You can understand why it came to be referred to as the ‘great all rounder’ or whatever the phrase was. It does possess a rather unique ‘universality’, something I’m not sure you could say about the current HP - although that’s not necessarily a criticism

Long, mineral, nervous sherry again, lemon rind, oils, a little natural tar and some green fruits. A fading, drying and increasingly medicinal peat in the aftertaste
