잔을 가볍게 흔들면 아일라 남부 라프로익의 짭조름한 바닷내가 잔 벽을 따라 흘러내린다. 코끝에 가져가면 22년 묵은 피트의 의약 냄새와 요오드, 마른 해초의 향이 차례로 인사한다. 한 모금을 머금으면 46도의 절제된 오일이 입천장을 천천히 적시며 훈제와 레몬껍질, 옅은 단맛을 풀어놓는다. 삼키면 라프로익 특유의 약초 잔향이 혀끝에 깊게 머문다.
