테이스팅 노트
잔을 가볍게 흔들면 짙은 황금빛이 잔벽에 천천히 매달린다. 잔을 가져가면 1966년산 라프로익 특유의 의약품 같은 페놀이 인사하고, 31년이 다듬어낸 부드러운 훈제 향이 따라온다. 한 모금을 머금으면 49.3도의 알코올이 입을 데우며 바다 미네랄과 말린 해초의 짠맛이 묵직하게 흐른다. 천천히 삼키면 아일라 피트의 매캐한 잔향과 가죽 노트가 입천장에 오래 머문다.

This is the sort of whisky that comes out to meet you half way to the glass. The fruit is kind of overspilling the rim of the glass. A library of tropical fruits: papaya, banana, mango, passion fruit, pineapple. But then also these myriad coastal aspects such as sandalwood, beach foam, seaweed, salt. Then gentle peat smoke, resins, ointments, old medicine cabinets, long aged yellow chartreuse. Another nose that you could write a book about. (but we won’t you’ll be pleased to hear) With water: goes a little more towards citrus. But that’s all I’ll write because the rest would be gratuitous
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
What can you say about this kind of whisky. It stops you in your tracks. A perfect concentration of fruits, seashore, simmering and undulating peats and a drifting farmyard aspect in the background. With water: further gratuity!

Kind of heartbreakingly beautiful. A long waltz into the night with someone you love but will never see again once its over. (I know, get a grip Angus!)
