노즈에서는 라프로익 특유의 타르와 고무, 가죽 광택제 위로 건포도와 밀크초콜릿의 단맛이 먼저 두드러진다. 증류소 핸드필로 채운 이 2005 빈티지는 17년 숙성 54.4도에서 셰리와 피트가 무겁게 얽힌 개성을 명확하게 드러낸다. 팰럿에서는 훈연이 짙은 랍상소총과 스모크 키르쉬가 층을 이루며 발전한다. 피니시는 랍상소총의 훈연이 오래도록 길게 이어진다.
