아일라 남안 라프로익의 바닷가 창고에서 밀려드는 짠 바닷바람이 이 원액에 특유의 약재 같은 훈연을 새긴다. 18년을 보낸 이 위스키는 금빛을 띠며 은은한 스모크와 가을 낙엽, 바닷물과 베이컨, 해조와 훈제 차의 향이 겹겹이 올라온다. 48도의 입안은 정교하고 우아하게 짠 베이컨과 훈제 차, 은은한 열대 과일의 뉘앙스가 이어지며 새 오크의 결이 비친다. 여운은 망고를 떠올리게 하는 과일과 은은한 훈연, 소금기가 오래 이어져 라프로익다운 우아한 품격을 전한다.
