잔을 코끝에 가져가면 라프로익 특유의 짙은 소독약 같은 피트 연기와 짭짤한 바다 내음이 강하게 오른다. 잔을 흔들면 옅은 황금빛이 잔 벽을 따라 흐른다. 한 모금 머금으면 43도의 기운이 혀를 부드럽게 적시고 그을린 나무와 바닐라, 미역 같은 짠맛이 또렷하게 번진다. 15년 숙성을 따라가듯 삼키면 마른 훈연과 소금기가 혀끝에 길게 남는다.
