노즈에서는 1974년 증류된 발베니답게 꿀과 잘 익은 사과, 바닐라 향이 부드럽게 두드러진다. 스페이사이드 특유의 풍부하고 매끄러운 캐릭터가 단정하게 발전한다. 팰럿은 43도로 가볍고 매끄럽게 입을 채우며, 토피와 배, 보리 단맛이 단단한 균형을 이룬다. 피니시는 중간보다 길게 이어지며, 올드 발베니 특유의 꿀 같은 단맛이 또렷이 깃들어 마무리된다.

oh indeed, Madeira and malt, this works. Really charming, almost coastal, with lovely roasted pistachios and walnuts, a hint of camphor, driftwood, seaweed, mustard-and-sesame crackers (utterly killer) and a few little cider apples. A very pretty nose, well done

this is really good, with hints of damp soil, tobacco, still those killer crackers, plus a few truly dry raisins and black tea. Very amusing salty touches

not eternal but always fresh and saline, with those nut/mustard combinations typical of some Madeiras
