잔에 담긴 맑은 황금빛이 싱글 배럴다운 또렷한 개성을 머금고 빛난다. 1981년 증류된 발베니에서는 꿀과 잘 익은 배, 바닐라가 부드럽게 피어오른다. 50.4도의 입안은 진한 꿀 단맛과 오렌지, 은은한 오크가 매끈하게 흐른다. 단일 배럴에서 길어올린 열다섯 해의 시간이 스페이사이드 특유의 꿀맛을 또렷이 살려, 여운은 달콤하고 따뜻하게 길게 이어진다.
