잔을 천천히 흔들면 24년 묵은 부나하벤이 잔 벽을 따라 짙은 호박빛 띠를 그린다. 코끝에 가져가면 호그스헤드에서 길어 올린 짠 미네랄과 말린 살구, 옅은 해풍이 가장 먼저 솟아오른다. 한 모금을 머금으면 42.8도의 부드러운 알코올이 꿀에 절인 호두와 시나몬을 입천장에 펼친다. 삼키면 가벼운 굴 껍질과 무화과 잼이 길게 따라오며 아일라 북쪽 증류소 특유의 잔잔한 짠맛이 또렷이 깃든다.
