노즈에서는 셰리 버트에서 비롯된 무화과와 가죽, 다크 초콜릿의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러진다. UD 보틀러가 2001년에 25년산 54도로 병입한 이 Macallan 1975는 1970년대 맥캘란 셰리 캐스크의 깊이가 또렷이 발현된다. 팰럿에서는 건자두, 호두, 정향이 차례로 발전하며 도수가 균형을 단단히 잡는다. 피니시는 가죽과 마른 향신료로 길고 묵직하게 이어진다.

at some point, with these vintages, we’ll start to encounter Stendhal Syndromes. It’s a disease that first occurred when writer Stendhal first visited the Offices in Firenze and saw the Botticellis. Amazing very old Yquem and other first class Sauternes, nuts and dried mushrooms, Cuban cigars… Oh hell, please call the Anti-Maltoporn Brigade immediately!
