향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
금빛이 잔 속에서 잔잔하게 흔들린다. 1990년 증류해 셰리 캐스크에서 12년을 보낸 뒤 43도로 병에 담긴 보틀링이다. 향에서는 구운 오크와 프랄린이 앞서고, 시큼한 과육과 옥수수 시럽의 단맛이 그 사이를 채운다. 입안은 무게가 과하지 않아 몰트와 볶은 견과, 향신료 케이크가 또박또박 드러나고 쌉쌀한 마멀레이드가 뒤를 정리한다. 여운은 중간 길이로 나무의 결과 달큰한 셰리를 함께 남긴다.

ah? It’s lost a bit of lustre, apparently, I find it much simpler, with sour fruits and some rather ‘obvious’ praline and toasted oak. A feeling of burnt chocolate cake and corn syrup. The pecan pie and the tarte tatin are nicer, though, really curious about the palate now…

yes this is good, it’s probably the closest you can get to the older Macallan spirit, even if it’s relatively simple, and not as ‘whirling around’ as its earlier inception. Cakes, roasted nuts, malt, praline, spicy cake, bitter marmalade. Good body, the lower strength doesn’t quite feel
