향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
맑은 금빛이 잔 속에 은은하게 비친다. 1990년 증류액이 셰리 캐스크에서 13년을 보낸 뒤 43도로 담긴 이 보틀링은 프랄린과 구운 오크의 향이 먼저 다가온다. 그 사이로 시큼한 과육과 태운 초콜릿 케이크, 피칸 파이의 고소함이 스며든다. 입안에서는 볶은 견과와 몰트, 향신료를 얹은 케이크가 순서대로 지나가고 쌉쌀한 마멀레이드가 끝을 잡는다. 여운은 중간 길이로 달큰한 셰리의 잔향을 남긴다.

ah? It’s lost a bit of lustre, apparently, I find it much simpler, with sour fruits and some rather ‘obvious’ praline and toasted oak. A feeling of burnt chocolate cake and corn syrup. The pecan pie and the tarte tatin are nicer, though, really curious about the palate now…

yes this is good, it’s probably the closest you can get to the older Macallan spirit, even if it’s relatively simple, and not as ‘whirling around’ as its earlier inception. Cakes, roasted nuts, malt, praline, spicy cake, bitter marmalade. Good body, the lower strength doesn’t quite feel
