향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
짙은 금빛이 잔 안에 가득 어린다. 향은 성냥을 그은 듯한 유황과 가죽, 고무가 먼저 나서고 그 뒤로 셰리와 마른 풀, 오크가 층을 이룬다. 첫인상은 무뚝뚝하지만 입에서는 전혀 다른 얼굴이 드러난다. 51.8도의 술은 흙과 뿌리를 닮은 진한 셰리로 입을 채우고 용담과 감초의 쓴맛에 설탕에 절인 레몬이 겹친다. 1989년 스피릿이 셰리 캐스크 마감을 거쳐 스물한 해를 보낸 결과는 예상보다 훨씬 힘차다. 여운은 길고 약초 리큐어의 기운이 남는다.

struck matches strike first, so to speak, together with some leather and rubber, which makes it not too different from the Samaroli except that the kirschy notes are much less obvious. Sherry. More grass, more oak. Kind of unsexy so far but water may unleash more aromas. Hopefully! With water: earth! ;-)
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
it’s a big, rich, earthy and medicinal kind of sherry, way nicer than on the nose when neat, tarry, rooty… Some gentian, chartreuse, maraschino (did Mr Mainardi add that? ;-)), a lot of liquorice, cough syrup, then crystallised lemons… Right, limoncello. A big yet nervous Macallan, much to my liking. With water: rich, fruitier, even earthier, with also these beautiful notes of oranges and toffee that we used to find in the old official Macallans

quite long, a tad grassier. Herbal liqueur again in the aftertaste
