스페이사이드 이스터 엘키스 언덕의 비옥한 토양 위에서 맥캘란은 진중한 셰리 숙성의 전통을 길러 왔다. 1957년 증류된 이 위스키는 셰리 우드에서 오랜 시간을 보내며 깊은 적갈빛을 얻었다. 코에는 건포도와 말린 무화과, 오래된 가죽의 향이 그윽하게 오른다. 입안은 흑설탕과 구운 견과, 향신료가 깊게 흐르고 43도가 원숙한 결을 부드럽게 감싼다. 반세기를 훌쩍 넘긴 세월답게 여운은 따뜻한 향신료와 묵은 오크로 길게 마무리된다.

Short finish, on caramel and wood – getting sort of sour rather quickly. Like I thought the first time I tasted this new Mac, it really lacks personality. 77 points .
