테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 회향과 오래된 종이, 낡은 목재가 가장 먼저 두드러진다. 그 사이로 옅은 시트러스가 지나가지만 향의 폭 자체는 넓지 않은 편이다. 1951년 증류 원액을 30년 숙성한 이 위스키는 색도 옅은 볏짚에 머문다. 팰럿은 설탕에 가까운 단맛이 먼저 오고 곧 탄닌이 두드러지며 흰 과육 과일이 배경에 남는다. 43도 병입이지만 질감은 다소 가벼운 쪽이다. 여운은 길지 않고 마른 나무와 쌉쌀함으로 정리된다.

quite sugarish, with quite a lot of tannins. Hints of white fruits. A little thin, but rather good, although nowhere near the now old 18yo. 80 points . Too bad I couldn’t taste the new 18 yo ‘sherry’ (picture above). Macallan 30 yo (43%, OB, circa 1998) I didn't have this one at WhiskyLive, but at ‘Le Market’, fellow Alsatian Jean-Georges Vongerichten ’s new ‘fusion food’ restaurant on Avenue Matignon
