테이스팅 노트
잔을 코앞에 두고 천천히 돌리면 코냑에 가까운 호박빛이 눈에 든다. 향을 맡으면 조린 복숭아와 건포도가 앞서고 꽃가루와 꿀이 그 뒤를 부드럽게 감싼다. 40도의 한 모금은 홍차 같은 탄닌으로 시작해 커피와 초콜릿 건자두로 이어진다. 다만 열 초쯤 지나면 힘이 서서히 내려앉는다. 삼킨 뒤에는 마른 탄닌과 커피가 짧게 걸린다. 1978년에 병입된 1967년 원액에서 옛 시대의 우아함이 읽힌다.

A wee tannicity right from the start (black tea), then rather coffee and chocolate, Smyrna raisins, perhaps prunes… But it tends to nosedive a bit after ten seconds, and that’s the lower strength. Having said that, there are funny notes of old Demerara rum, bordering on dried bananas, while it remains rather chocolaty and coffeeish, even while it starts to whisper really low
