테이스팅 노트
잔을 가볍게 흔들어 향을 깨우면 프루트케이크와 토피가 가장 먼저 인사한다. 코를 더 깊이 넣으면 구운 밤과 시가 잎, 갓 구운 브리오슈가 차례로 스친다. 43도라는 낮은 도수 덕분에 향을 오래 들이마셔도 부담이 없다. 머금으면 건포도를 박은 초콜릿과 프랄린이 혀에 퍼지고 몰트의 곡물 단맛이 뒤를 받친다. 삼키면 후추를 뿌린 퍼지 같은 매콤한 단맛이 이어진다.

feels like home. It’s probably not as deep and complex as the pre-1980 vintages, and certainly more focused on fruitcake and toffee, but indeed it’s a lovely nose. Glazed chestnuts, honey sauce, touches of fennel or dill, dried porcinis, cigars, toasted brioche and, yeah, sultanas. Really a perfect nose, and the 43% vol. make it pleasantly approachable, in both senses of the word
