테이스팅 노트
셰리 버트에서 열일곱 해를 보낸 시간이 매캘란 특유의 풍성한 셰리 캐릭터를 빚어냈다. 1996년 증류한 이 스페이사이드 원액은 향에서 건포도와 잘 익은 오렌지, 흑설탕이 진하게 피어오른다. 입에서는 대추야자와 토피, 다크초콜릿의 단맛이 입천장을 천천히 덮고, 55.3도의 기운이 정향과 호두를 끌어올린다. 깊은 적갈색 아래로 건과일과 가죽의 여운이 따뜻하고 길게 이어진다.

this one, while being even more sherried than the 18, also displays more bourbony notes that may come from some very active oak. Like, pencil shavings. Apart from that, it’s a maelstrom of dried fruits including small berries as well as a few mentholated notes like we found in the 18. Prunes, raspberries, dates, kumquats (there, Marcel), cassis, then more cinnamon and cocoa powder, more cassis, a lot of cassis… Crème de Cassis Dijon-style?
