셰리 캐스크에서 1968년부터 무르익은 오랜 시간이 이 매캘란의 모든 결을 우아하게 물들인다. 우드는 마르지 않고, 코에서 오렌지와 귤, 잘 익은 사과와 여러 꿀, 옅은 바나나 향이 싱그럽게 피어오른다. 43도의 부드러운 입질에서는 딸기와 살구, 구스베리와 복숭아의 과일 단맛이 매끄럽게 흐른다. 오랜 숙성에도 오크가 마르지 않아 과일의 생기가 살아 있다. 맑은 황금빛 아래 감초와 생강, 육두구의 여운이 놀랍도록 이어진다.

ah yes, this one is typical of many old Macallans by G&M – proof that warehouses and locations have an influence, don’t you think? Many fruits such as oranges and tangerines, fruity apples (large red ones, for example), various honeys, flowers from the fields, syrups and liqueurs, bananas… It’s fresh and mucho lively! Let’s hope the palate won’t be too dry and oaky…

great news, there’s some oak of course but it isn’t drying or cardboardy, not at all. Many fruits, strawberries, ripe apples, gooseberries, apricots, peaches… It’s all extremely drinkable!
