테이스팅 노트
스페이사이드 이스터 엘키스의 언덕에 자리한 매캘런, 셰리 시즌드 오크를 고집하는 그 전통이 이 더블 캐스크에 담겼다. 잔에는 옅은 밀짚빛이 어린다. 아메리칸과 유러피언 오크를 함께 쓴 이 위스키는 제비꽃과 라일락 같은 꽃 향에 사워크림과 잘 익은 오렌지가 겹쳐 올라온다. 40도의 순한 도수는 입안에서 카라멜과 볶은 땅콩, 바닐라를 둥글게 감아 흐른다. 두 오크의 조합이 가벼운 곡물 위에 부드러운 셰리의 층을 더한다. 이 보틀링은 매끄러운 몰트의 단맛과 옅은 타닌의 여운을 깔끔하게 남긴다.

fresh, light and grainy. A little spirity, with lots of flowery notes: violet, lilac. Develops on sour crème and hot butter. Hints of overripe orange. Really different from the former 10 yo ‘sherry’. Smells like a good Lowlander (Rosebank?) Surprisingly enjoyable!
restaurant 맛 (팔레트)
nice attack on caramel, roasted peanuts, malt, but not much development. Quite rounded, with hints of vanilla. Quite nervous, still, and sort of satisfying. Alas, the finish is rather short and leaves nothing but a few tannins on your tongue. Don’t get me wrong; it’s still quite enjoyable! 78 points . Macallan 12 yo 'Fine Oak' (40%, OB, 2004)
