테이스팅 노트
잔을 코끝에 가져가면 셰리 숙성 특유의 향이 올라오는데 달기보다는 잎사귀 같은 허브 뉘앙스가 앞서며 호두와 오렌지 마멀레이드가 뒤따른다. 잔을 흔들어 향을 깨우면 구운 건포도와 옅은 고무 향이 은은히 섞여든다. 한 모금 머금으면 건포도와 오렌지 마멀레이드의 단맛에 감초와 프루트케이크, 씁쓸한 홍차가 겹쳐 감기며 40도답게 부드럽게 흐른다. 삼키고 나면 초록빛 호두의 여운이 풀 향과 함께 길게 남는데 스페이사이드 맥캘란 12년의 셰리 캐릭터가 끝까지 또렷하다.

full sherry maturation but it's rather a leafy and sightly herbal sherry, with walnuts, marmalade and a slight gamey side. High grouse. I'm also finding some leafier honey, such as green oak honeydew, which is excellent by the way. Touches of burnt raisins and a hint of rubber. Nutshell, it is a nice nose, pretty complex, but the truth hides on the palate, as usual

raisins, orange marmalade, hint of liquorice, fruitcake and bitter teas. Green walnuts, nocino… Just like last time, I'm finding a little too much spicy rubber, was this new European oak prior to the seasoning with sherry?
