테이스팅 노트
금빛에 호박이 감도는 빛깔이 잔 안에서 은은하게 흔들린다. 맥캘란이 2009년에 선보인 이 스페이사이드 12년은 아카시아 꿀과 라일락, 밀랍에 옅은 스모크가 감돌며 놀라운 향을 그린다. 시간이 지나면 잘 익은 살구와 오렌지 시럽, 바닷물의 짠기가 스치듯 피어난다. 입에서는 살구잼과 잘 익은 자두, 밤꿀과 구운 브리오슈가 생기 있게 살아나고 후추의 얼얼함이 짜임새를 더한다. 43도의 절제된 도수 위로 과일과 꿀의 여운이 길게 이어지는 몰트다.

oh well... this is, I mean, just amazing. Incredible smokiness and a full tanker of acacia honey as well as lilac, beeswax and leather polish. Goes on and on... ripe apricots, flower nectar, Seville oranges, orange syrup, whiffs of seawater... Absolutely exceptional. Gets smokier with time (Havana smoke). Hints of apple peelings. This nose just leaves me speechless (who said good news?)
