잔을 코끝으로 가져가면 잎담배와 건포도의 향이 먼저 인사하고 아몬드와 초콜릿이 뒤에서 천천히 따라온다. 잔을 다시 흔들면 흙내와 민트차의 서늘함이 더해진다. 한 모금을 머금으면 40도치고 놀랍도록 단단한 무게가 혀를 누르고 에스프레소와 랑시오 같은 쌉쌀함이 번진다. 삼킨 뒤에는 가죽과 쓴 허브가 오래 남아 마르게 끝난다.
