노즈에서는 올리브유와 훈제 생선의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지고 재와 아마인유, 레몬 껍질이 뒤를 잇는다. 시간이 지나면 이끼와 퍼티 같은 광물성 뉘앙스가 발전한다. 팰럿은 46도답게 부드럽게 열리지만 타르와 사과 껍질의 쌉쌀함, 소금기가 또렷하다. 자몽과 감초가 구조감을 잡아준다. 피니시는 길게 이어지며 마른 소금기와 재의 여운을 남긴다. 1984년에 증류해 25년을 보낸 이 아일라 위스키는 균형이 단단하다.
