잔을 흔들면 볏짚색이 얇게 퍼지고 코를 가져가면 풋사과와 새우, 훈제 생선 냄새가 차례로 다가온다. 벽난로에 남은 재 같은 마른 향도 뒤에 깔린다. 한 모금 머금으면 바닐라의 둥근 맛이 잠깐 스치고 곧 숯과 바닷물, 고둥과 굴의 짠맛이 혀를 채운다. 초록 올리브와 생강의 매운 기가 끝을 잡아 준다. 삼키면 시트러스와 짠맛이 함께 길게 남는다. 1982년 원액을 43도로 12년만 채운 옛 스타일이다.
