향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
노즈는 같은 시기 다른 카올 일라보다 거칠고 직선적이다. 소금기와 바닷물, 해변 모래, 풋자몽의 날 선 향이 먼저 두드러지고 진흙과 발효 중인 채소 같은 뉘앙스가 뒤따른다. 팰럿은 아일라 남안 스타일에 가깝게 굵직하며 훈연한 퍼지와 버터를 바른 훈제 차의 인상이 명확하게 드러난다. 물을 더하면 타르와 탄 고무 쪽으로 발전한다. 피니시는 길고 달큰한 스모키 퍼지가 남는다. 53도의 힘이 21년의 숙성과 팽팽하다.

south-shore-ish, as they say. Big Caol Ila, much more ‘imprecise’ than others, and yet perhaps more interesting, with smoked fudge and buttered smoked tea. Really not your average middle-aged Caol Ila. With water: smoky and almost tarry, ala young Port Ellen. Burned tyres
