향미 프로필
테이스팅 노트
노즈에서는 레몬과 갓 벤 풀의 향이 가장 먼저 두드러지고 훈연은 상대적으로 절제되어 있다. 훈제 청어와 안초비 같은 짠 단서가 뒤를 받치며 명확하게 드러난다. 물을 더하면 젖은 신문지 같은 마른 인상이 올라와 향의 결이 달라진다. 50.8도의 팰럿은 크리미한 질감으로 레몬과 핑크 자몽이 곧게 뻗으며 복잡함보다 짜임새로 승부한다. 1982년 빈티지의 피니시는 길고 깔끔하며 소금기와 쓴 아몬드를 남긴다.

funnily enough, 1982 isn’t 1981 – not saying vintages mean much in whisky of course. The lemon is louder in this one, the grass as well, it’s sort of narrower and ‘younger’, less smoky too… But kippers and anchovies are there so let’s add water. With water: whiffs of wet newspapers (wet iPads won’t work, what shall we do?)
