볏짚색이 잔 안에 얕게 퍼진다. 1994년 원액을 오크 캐스크에서 9년 두고 43도로 맞춘 이 카올일라는 과실보다 재 쪽으로 기운 성격이다. 향은 처음부터 잿더미와 마른 그을음을 앞세우고 과일의 흔적은 뒤로 물러나 있다. 입에서는 연기와 검댕이 두껍게 깔리고 훈연은 살짝 매캐한 결을 띤다. 마무리는 중간 길이로 이어지며 그 끝에 레몬 리큐어 같은 달콤한 산미가 얇게 비친다.
