스카이 섬 남부의 거센 바닷바람과 비구름은 토라베그에 어린 나이에도 단단한 해풍의 기개를 심는다. 이 위스키는 버번과 올로로소, PX, 버진 오크를 두루 거쳐 짙은 황금빛을 얻었다. 코에는 바다 소금과 모닥불 연기, 그을린 보리가 거칠게 솟구친다. 61.1도의 높은 힘은 입안에서 후추와 훈제 베이컨, 다크 시럽을 강하게 밀어붙이고, 다섯 해의 짧은 숙성이 오히려 날선 생기를 살린다. 여운은 짭조름한 재와 이탄으로 묵직하게 남는다.

every time I'm trying Torabhaig – granted, we haven't tried hundreds – the word 'crystalline' springs to mind. This is pure seawater blended with lime juice, granny smith juice, a small bottle of tincture of iodine, and the waters of a dozen oysters. That's all.
