밀짚빛이 잔에 얕게 깔려 서늘한 첫인상을 준다. 1989년 증류해 2001년에 병입된 12년 숙성의 이 위스키는 아일라 해안의 결을 그대로 옮겨 놓는다. 풋사과와 생새우, 훈제 생선, 벽난로에 남은 재의 냄새가 순서대로 열린다. 입에서는 바닐라의 둥근 기운과 복숭아 같은 단맛이 잠시 스치고 곧 숯과 바닷물, 굴과 그린 올리브, 옅은 고추의 매운맛이 이어진다. 여운은 길고 상쾌하며 짭조름한 감칠맛이 오래 감돈다.
