테이스팅 노트
화이트 와인빛이 잔에 맑게 어린다. 향은 둥글고 과실 쪽으로 기울어 바나나와 오래 묵은 백포도주를 떠올리게 하며 훈연은 요즘의 아일라보다 한결 옅다. 젤리 사탕 같은 단내도 스친다. 43도의 입은 뜻밖에 크고 레몬과 레몬그라스의 산미가 앞서며 흑연과 자갈, 분필의 건조한 결이 그 사이를 채운다. 여운은 쓴맛 쪽으로 기울어 마지막이 가장 어렵지만 그만큼 개성이 또렷하다.

It’s big, extremely lemony and zesty, with some lemongrass, unripe gooseberries, then some hessian, graphite, a feeling of gravel… The whole’s a tad shaky, perhaps, less well-defined than modern bottlings, but it’s got some dazzling sparks of medicinalness (come on!) Almond oil and lemons, more hessian, a touch of chalk, some bitter herbs, peels and leaves… I’d have thought it would be an easy dram – it’s not
