거의 무색에 가까운 화이트 와인빛이 잔에 맑게 담긴다. 오크 캐스크에서 16년을 보낸 1982년 원액은 향에서 바닷물과 숯이 곧게 맞물리며 군더더기를 남기지 않는다. 43도라는 도수가 이 정갈한 구조에 오히려 잘 맞는다. 입은 아주 건조해서 재와 굴의 짠맛이 앞서고 과실의 흔적은 좀처럼 드러나지 않는다. 여운은 길고 점점 짜지며 요오드와 치약 같은 서늘한 약재감으로 마무리된다.
