테이스팅 노트
노즈는 절제된 편이지만 잔을 몇 번 돌리면 농가의 흙내와 젖은 건초가 드러난다. 붕대와 장뇌 같은 약재 뉘앙스, 마른 해초가 뒤따르며 향의 방향이 점점 넓어진다. 팰럿은 마른 과일로 열린 뒤 두세 초 만에 훈연과 고무, 후추가 터져 나온다. 55.1도의 도수가 만든 밀도가 상당하고 감초와 마지팬, 말린 생강으로 발전한다. 피니시는 길며 단맛과 짠맛이 겹치는 인상이 오래 이어진다.

wow, what a nice attack! Dried fruits right at the start, but lots of smoke, rubber and pepper bursting out after just two or three seconds. Wow, it’s bold and compact, too bad there are a few sweetish notes… the sherry? It’s nice, but I feel this cask would have deserved to be bottled ‘naked’. Bold development, on liquorice, marzipan, dried ginger… Very, very nice indeed! The finish is very long, nicely balanced, with a strange ‘sweet-and-salty’ feeling. A excellent bottling! 88 points . Caol Ila 'Cask Strength' (55%, OB, 2004) I had this one several times, and I think I must have downed two or three bottles
