엑스 셰리 벗이 48년을 견디며 빚어낸 결과가 코끝에서 가장 먼저 드러난다. 사라진 로우랜드 카스브리지의 1973년 빈티지를 엘릭서 디스틸러스가 위스키 트레일 시리즈로 풀어낸 보틀링이다. 56.3도의 카스크 스트렝스에도 그레인 위스키 특유의 부드러움이 살아있다. 향은 코코넛 크림과 캐러멜, 옅은 가죽. 입에서는 토피와 셰리의 호두, 진한 바닐라가 풀바디 질감으로 흐른다. 여운은 마른 우드 톤으로 깊게 머문다.

I'm not a grain guy but I need to take my hat off, even if we're not quite up there with that Cameronbridge '74. Lovely chestnut honey, Cointreau, Szechuan pepper in abundance, pink grapefruit liqueur, touch of rum (old Cuban)… With water: excellent, firmer, malty, quite peppery. Big boy at this stage
